what to expect

  • Before

    Before you book
When you book, make sure it’s on a day or evening when you can give yourself a couple of hours away from responsibilities. This ensures we don’t rush you on or off the table. I want you to enjoy a full 90-minute session as well as time to sip tea.

    Booking & confirmation
Once you book your session, you’ll receive a confirmation email with details about your session. I’ll send you a separate email with directions.

    What to wear
You’re welcome to wear anything comfortable to your session. Most clients undress to their comfort level for bodywork (full draping is available). If you prefer to remain clothed, just let me know.

    Arriving to your appointment
Before we start any bodywork, you’ll have a chance to share your expectations (hopes and dreams) for your session and ask questions. I’ll invite you to share how you’re feeling and tell me about any relevant medical or wellbeing information we need to be mindful of. We’ll make a plan for the session together.

  • During

    Personalised experience
Every session is fully tailored to what you want and you feel your body needs. Whether you’re seeking education, embodiment, deep relaxation, somatic tools to take home with you, we’ll adjust the approach together.

    Positioning & comfort
For bodywork, you’ll be comfortably supported with soft linen, organic oils, and gentle warmth. If anything ever feels uncomfortable (too much or too little pressure, temperature, music, etc.), just let me know. I want this to be an experience you co-create.

    Breath & relaxation
I work slowly and rhythmically to help you fully come into your body. I may gently guide your breath or suggest visualisations, movement, sound, or placement of awareness. If we’re prioritising relaxation, there’s no need to do anything except receive.

    Falling Asleep? Totally Okay.
People can drift in and out of sleep during a bodywork session. It’s completely natural and even a sign that your body is deeply unwinding. If it’s not aligned with our intention, I’ll gently bring you back to the present moment.

  • After

    A gentle transition
We end each session with integration and reflection. This is deliberately slow and in many ways the quiet star of the show.

    Herbal tea and a treat
You’re invited to stay for a warm herbal tea and a small treat, allowing your body to absorb the benefits before stepping back into your day.

    How you might feel
Most people feel lighter, clearer, and deeply restored. Some experience a release of stored tension or emotions. Staying hydrated and taking time for yourself afterward can help extend the benefits.

When to book your next session
Regular sessions can help maintain maintain momentum if you’re on an embodiment journey, or if you’re practicing relaxation. Like everything else in life, practice makes a difference. Whether you come monthly, seasonally, or as needed, you’ll know when it’s time to return.
