What to expect

  • Before

    Before you book
When you book, make sure it’s on a day or evening when you can give yourself a couple of hours away from responsibilities. This ensures we don’t rush you on or off the table. I want you to enjoy a full 90-minute mindful massage and time to sip tea.

    Booking & confirmation
Once you book your session, you’ll receive a confirmation email with details about your session. I’ll send you a separate email with directions. If you’re inspired to, you can read my short posts on my resources page to help you prepare.

    What to wear
You’re welcome to wear anything comfortable to your session. Most clients undress to their comfort level for the massage (with full draping provided for mindful and mother massages). If you prefer to remain clothed, just let me know.

    Arriving to your appointment
Before we start any bodywork, you’ll have a chance to share your expectations (hopes and dreams) for your session. I’ll invite you to share how you’re feeling and tell me about any relevant medical or wellbeing information we need to be mindful of. We’ll make a plan for the session together and you’ll have opportunity to ask any questions.

  • During

    Personalised experience
Every session is fully tailored to what you want and you feel your body needs. Whether you’re seeking deep relaxation, focused relief, or something in between, we’ll adjust the approach together.

    Positioning & comfort
You’ll be comfortably supported with soft linen, organic oils, and gentle warmth. If anything ever feels uncomfortable (too much or too little pressure, temperature, music, etc.), just let me know. I want this to be an experience you love.

    Breath & relaxation
I work slowly and rhythmically to help you fully unwind. I may gently guide your breath at times to deepen relaxation, but there’s no need to do anything except receive.

    Falling Asleep? Totally Okay.
Many people drift in and out of sleep during their session—this is completely natural and even a sign that your body is deeply unwinding.

  • After

    A gentle transition
I bring you slowly out of deep relaxation towards the end of your session. You’ll then have time to rest before slowly getting up.

    Herbal tea and a treat
You’re invited to stay for a warm herbal tea and a small treat, allowing your body to absorb the benefits before stepping back into your day.

    How you might feel
Most people feel lighter, clearer, and deeply restored. Some experience a release of stored tension or emotions—this is normal and part of the healing process. Staying hydrated and taking time for yourself afterward can help extend the benefits.

When to book your next session
Regular sessions can help maintain balance in your body and mind. Whether you come monthly, seasonally, or as needed, you’ll know when it’s time to return.
